European Space Agency’s Spacecraft Reveals The Secrets of Longest Cloud Formed in the Sky of Mars

Esa’s Spacecraft , the first know Secrets Of Longest Cloud Formed Over Mars

The European Space Agency (ESA) spacecraft ‘Mars Express’ has unraveled the mystery of the appearance and disappearance of the longest cloud in the sky of ‘Red Planet’ Mars. The name of the mysterious cloud – ‘Arshia Mons Elongated Cloud’. Its length is 1,118 miles (or, 1,800 kilometers). 93 miles (or, 150 kilometers) wide.

The cloud is seen in the sky of a particular part of Mars every year for 60 days. This cloud disappears shortly after it appears every day. The cloud was seen again the next day. That day too, after a few moments, it disappeared. This way it lasted for 60 days.

The cloud is seen at a specific time each year on top of the Red Planet volcano Arsia Mons. There has never been such a long cloud in the sky of Mars in so many days. The cloud is also very bright. It contains a large number of ice particles.

The largest volcano on Mars, Olympus Mons, is a short distance away from the Arsia Mons volcano. The Arsia Mons volcano is higher than Mount Everest hill and the highest of all the planets hill in the solar system.

The Visual Monitoring Camera (VMC) of ESA’s spacecraft Mars Express has found that the longest cloud on the Red Planet is the cause of the terrible dust storm on Mars. NASA’s ‘Opportunity‘, which landed on Mars, was paralyzed by this dust storm.

Not only that, the ice of the two poles of Mars decrease-increases for this cloud.

It has also seen that the cloud can be seen in the sky above the volcano (Arsia mons) after sunrise on the red planet.

After that, the cloud gradually spread for two and a half hours. 373 miles per hour (or, 600 kilometers per hour). The rest of the cloud then separates from where it originated. After that, the whole cloud disappeared. These clouds are also formed in the sky of the earth. But in terms of enormity, it is smaller than the mystery cloud of Mars!
